По правилам токарного дела вал надо было точить иначе: Сначала предварительно протачиваются шейки,с переустановкой,а потом в центрах делаются чистовые проходы с одной установкой,правда,для этого понадобится правый и левый резец. Но если работает,то и так сойдёт.

Try loosening to fit and then tightening before smashing in same with the guides. You should key in the lateral forces or yolk in the brackets. Great vid though

I was looking into making a shredder myself and came across this video. This is almost identical to what i had in mind. I had a few small differences though. I was going to use one motor to start with and gears (from an old bike in the garage) on the opposite ends linked with a chain to do the counter-rotation. I was also going to either alternate saw blade sizes every other blade, or utilize two rows of blades for different sized output. I was also goin to have it mounted a few feet in the air (maybe 3-4ft, or roughly 1-1.3meters) so a wagon or wheelbarrow could be parked under it to catch the droppings. And i would totally paint it black, brown, and green, with blood red "drippings" from the box part holding the blades. Awesome work man. It needs a sticker on it that says "CAUTION! Apparatus predates safety!"
